Intel getting into the GPU market soon? TweakTown says yes

Hardware enthusiast site TweakTown posted a brief yesterday suggesting that Intel is preparing a discrete GPU adapter that may be announced at CES 2019.  The article cites “industry sources” stating that Intel has been working on a GPU adapter for the past two years, with the help of a few AMD team member snagged by Intel recently.  Intel has worked on joint on-chip graphic solutions previously with both Nvidia and AMD, and news of a discrete graphics card has been reported previously this year.

Details are pretty slim at this point, but a discrete graphics card from Intel might provide GPU miners with another avenue for computing power.  As GPU prices continue to be drastically above MSRP, any competition brought to Nvidia and AMD would be welcome.
